As part of Voka's International Business Week, Voka - Chamber of Commerce Antwerp-Waasland focuses this year on the United States.

In 2019, Flanders exported more than 18 billion euros to the United States. This represented 5.6% of the Flemish total exports and placed fifth in the ranking of export countries. Imports amounted to 25.5 billion euros.

Important export sectors in Flemish trade with the US are pharmaceuticals, chemicals, machinery and gemstones. But this important market offers opportunities for many sectors. For example, there are opportunities in the field of new technologies in the automotive sector, innovations in biotechnology and healthcare, high-quality building materials, applications of digital technology, aerospace and technical textiles.

During this free online information session on 27 October you will hear where the opportunities lie, what the do's and don'ts are and how best to prepare. You will learn first-hand from representatives of both the US Embassy and Flanders Investment and Trade and entrepreneurs with experience in doing business with the United States.
